Since 1927, S.E. Casa de Moneda’s Museum preserves and restores the historical and cultural heritage (both tangible and intangible) that this institution has been producing since its foundation in 1881. This heritage reflects who we are and strengthens our identity, so that we can better understand our present and project our future. The Museum is the keeper of the Mint’s history, and contextualizes it within the general histories of coinage and the Argentine economy. It has a permanent exhibit on manufacturing processes of coins, medals, and banknotes, supported by a specialized library and a historical archive.
